The first project, Welded Together, comes from Belarusian director Anastasiya Miroshnichenko, whose first film Debut world-premiered in IDFA's First Appearance Competition in 2017, tells the story of Katya, a young woman and a professional welder. Abandoned as a little girl, she embarks on a personal journey to reunite with her lost family, weld it together, like she welds metal at work. Yet what she discovers down that road is about to make her relive the early childhood trauma.
In 2022, Welded Together took part in IDFA Forum Pitch. It is a co-production between Wit Film from the Netherlands, Stenola Productions from Belgium, and Little Big Story from France.
